Summer air, summer air,
Its balmy breath is everywhere,
Through the fields of waving corn,
Dancing o'er the dews of dawn,
Tingling through this blood of mine.

Rustling through the luscious grapes,
Stealing kisses from the sun
Where it lifts a leaf that drapes
Hidden clusters - as in fun,
As in frolic, summer air
Is blowing, blowing everywhere.

Cooling, cooling the fevered brow
Of God's children - easing pain.
Gently fanning each - and now
Soothing touch, it comes again,
Dreamy, lulling, Queen of Airs,
With you blowing, who despairs?
